NGC Marks 79th Independence Day with Nationwide Celebrations

National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) commemorated the nation's 79th Independence Day with flag hoisting ceremonies held across all NGC installations and field offices throughout the country, demonstrating unwavering patriotic spirit and national unity. The central ceremony took place at TSG Training Centre in New Kot Lakhpat, Lahore, where Chairman Board of Directors, Dr. Fiaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Managing Director Engr. Altaf Hussain Malik served as chief guest, leading the flag hoisting and cake cutting.

Managing Director NGC Visits 500kV Grid Station Gatti, Faisalabad

Engr. Altaf Hussain Malik, Managing Director of National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC), conducted a field visit to 500 kV Grid Station Gatti, Faisalabad, one of the oldest 500 kV grid stations in Pakistan, commissioned in the 1980s.

NGC Completes Nine Major Transmission Projects over the Last Six Months

The National Grid Company of Pakistan (NGC) has successfully completed nine major power transmission projects over the last six months. Key achievements since November 2025 include the completion of two new grid stations, 500kV Lahore North and 220kV Quaid-e-Azam Business Park, which have significantly enhanced power transmission capacity from southern to northern regions of the country, while also enabling electricity supply to a Special Economic Zone in Punjab.
